Our Faith

We are creedal and confessional.

We recognize the marvelous works of God’s providence in the history of His world, and join with the historic Church in confessing the truth once and for all delivered to the saints by the Apostles of Jesus Christ.

We acknowledge that God Himself is the author of Scripture, which is to be believed by all men as the authority of God. The historic Church creeds, confessions and standards are not inspired, and as such, no matter how excellent they may be, must be subjected to the ultimate authority of the Scripture. They are not to be considered in any way an addition or supplement to, or replacement of, the Holy Scripture.

Nevertheless, we recognize that the historic Christian faith expressed in Church creeds and confessions below, though written by men, are carefully considered and thoughtfully worded to accurately reflect what the Scripture teaches. We also recognize that the assumption of the divine authority of Scriptural teaching underlies all the creedal statements of the Christian Church and join with the historic Church in confessing the truths expressed in these creeds and confessions.
